Starlink free month Florida: the current rules from Starlink's Help Center
Starlink says the person referred gets "one month of free service applied to their second month when they sign up for Residential or Roam." Eligible plans: Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, Max, and Roam 100GB, 300GB, and Unlimited. Starlink lists Residential at $55, $85, and $130 a month and offers a 30-day trial with a full refund. For the full timing table, see Starlink referral code free month.
Starlink vs cable in Florida
Where reliable cable or fiber reaches your street, it's usually faster and lower-latency than satellite. Starlink's advantage in Florida is coverage and independence: it works on rural properties past the last cable line, and it doesn't depend on local lines that can go down after a storm, though it does need power. After the hurricanes, when our Spectrum internet was down, Starlink is what kept us online.
Is Starlink worth it in Florida?
For my household, yes. It's our full-time internet on the Residential 100 Mbps plan ($55 a month on starlink.com), and it's been fast and reliable enough for two people working from home. If you already have dependable fiber, Starlink makes more sense as a storm backup than as your main line. Starlink's 30-day trial with a full refund lets you test it at your own address.

Why a Florida customer runs this page
After the 2024 hurricanes took out power and cable in my area, SpaceX offered free service to affected communities. I kept the dish on Standby between storms and now use the Residential 100 Mbps plan as my main internet. This page is my own experience, not Starlink's.
